In stopping by the local animal clinic to pseudo care for and play with the animals, I’ve learned one thing: they need the attention. Recently I brushed past a small dog, dismissing him as “too ugly”. Harsh - I know. Truth be told, I didn’t fully realize the thought had crossed my mind until I was on my way out. What I had also noticed was the gold star on his identification card. Looking closer, I found he was a special needs dog. Instantly, my perceptions were changed.
